This is a Mac OS X shortcut that automatically puts the machine into Low Power Mode when the battery level
falls below 30%, and automatically
turns off Low Power Mode when the battery level rises about 30%.
Clone GitLab repository auto-low-power-mode
and follow the
instructions in the README to install.

than the metadata on Spotify. Can split a playlist into parts to avoid Spotify 10,000 track-per-playlist
limit.
Create a Tidal playlist from your saved albums filtered by genre, artists, title, and/or year.

This repository includes scripts for
deleting all or many
iMessages with one click.
Because succeeding generations of OSX reduced the functionality of
Message's AppleScript interface, the version for Ventura and later deletes 10 conversations at a time rather
than
all. You can edit the script to change the fixed number.
Install a Lisa Emulator for Ventura on a MacBook M1
It's not for faint of heart, but you can find all the
files you need here in LisaEM.zip.
Import Folders into Apple Photos Hierarchically
This script ImportPhotoFolders
enables you to upload multiple folders into Apple Photos where each directory becomes
an album.
The repository includes the script Set Photo Title to Filename, which sets the
title of each selected photo to its filename.
Super Apple Photos Export
This program exports any number of your OS X Apple Photos albums with one click.
Each album turns into a folder with photos that are numbered so
that they are in the correct order.
Exporting a folder exports all its albums and subfolders. Photos folders turn into Finder folders, nested
hierarchically.
You can select the top level albums and folders to export.
Google Photos organizes photos in albums by date, and there is no option
for organizing photos alphabetically by file name. If your have a file
directory that corresponds to a photo album where photos are numbered
or alphabetized to represent their order in the album, then uploading
the directory to Google Photos will disorder the photos.
mass-change-photo-dates.sh processes one or more folders at a
time, and changes the timestamps so that the increasing order of time
matches the the alphabetic order of file names. The script
handles the oddities of how Google Photo determines timestamps and
timezones, which is no at all what you might expect!
After
processing, upload the contents of your folder to Google Photos using
the gphotos_upload_albums script above.
Recreate the album from the "last uploaded" set of photos, and set the
album sort to "date" rather than "upload order".
Requires installation of the free program exiftool.
An old macbook I was using as a file and iTunes server would
lose its wifi connection from time to time, and fail to reconnect
automatically.
I wrote this little script to test the wifi
every hour, and if it was not connected to my network, to reconnect. In
this script, replace "NETWORK" with the name of your network, and
"PASSWORD" with the network password.
#!/bin/bash if [[ $(/usr/sbin/networksetup -getairportnetwork en0) != *" NETWORK" ]]; then /usr/sbin/networksetup -setairportnetwork en0 NETWORK PASSWORD fi
Give the script a name, say /Users/ME/bin/fixwifi. Then update your crontab to
run it hourly:
